Rives Gym

 

Robert Rives was the first TSD student in 1887 to attend National College (now Gallaudet University) and graduated in 1893. He then returned to TSD to teach after his graduation. He also served as the first football coach in 1894 through 1898 with a record of 10-8-1, and taught at TSD for 42 years. 

 

Robert was inducted into Texas School for the Deaf Alumni Association Sports Hall of Fame in 1999.
