Last weekend we participated in the Hill Country Christian School tournament. On Friday, we played 3 matches in pool play and finished with 2-1, that put us in the silver bracket (San Marcos Academy 15-25, 15-25, Austin Waldorf 25-21, 25-23, River City Believers 25-10, 25-18).Then on Saturday we went 2-1 to win the consolation championship, out of 28 teams. (Galveston O’Connell 25-21, 20-25, 12-15, San Antonio Legacy 25-18, 25-11, Gloria Deo 25-16, 20-25, 15-13).
The coaches were pleased with how the girls performed the whole weekend. We saw some great improvement in defense, and some areas that we would need to continue to work on. The coaches agreed that our girls are a stubborn team and are able to fight until the end.
Up next, we have a light week and a home game on Thursday vs Harmony School of Excellence.
