Lady Rangers’ Schmidjorg newest member of 1,000-point club

On Friday, December 13th, Senior Gunita Schmidjorg became the 5th player to reach a major milestone in the long history of Texas School for the Deaf Lady Rangers basketball history: the 1,000-point club. After 13 games this season, Gunita has 173 points and is on pace to move up the list, which is led by Raylene Lotz (1996-2000) with 1,661 career points and Kylene Etkie (2010-2014) with 1,241 points, before wrapping up a great career with the program. She currently stands at 1,020 career points as the team heads into the winter break.
