TSD Rangers vs St. Paul - Recap - Oct. 10

The Texas School for the Deaf Rangers now have a 3-3 record, after losing to St. Paul Cardinals (5-2) at their home, 43 - 0. The Cardinals put 43 points on the board in the first half, and the Rangers were able to come back and shut down the Cardinal offense in the second half.

TSD’s rushing was contained by the Cardinals; Sophomore Stone Leiker had 29 yards on 6 carries and Junior Austin Sliva-Wynne had 8 carries for 11 yards. The Rangers’ passing game was considerably better with Junior Elonzo Arellano throwing 8 completions for 104 yards, and Sliva-Wynne catching 5 for 100 yards.

This Friday’s game at 730 pm at John Paul II in Schertz is TSD’s third district game. TSD has 1 win and 1 loss in Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools (TAPPS) Division III, District 3. John Paul II has a 3-4 record with 1 win and 2 losses in the same district. TSD is currently ranked third in the district, behind St. Paul at first and Sacred Heart at second, and John Paul II is ranked fifth.
