Three Rangers Earn TAPPS All-District Volleyball Honors

The TAPPS office has announced its selections for the Volleyball All-District Team, and three of our TSD student-athletes have earned well-deserved recognition: Juniors Melanie Rubinshteyn, Ava Beese, and Savannah Fewel.

Melanie Rubinshteyn — All-District First Team & Academic All-State

Junior Outside Hitter Melanie Rubinshteyn was named to both the All-District First Team and the Academic All-State Team after an outstanding season.
She led the Rangers with:

  • 381 kills (3.5 per set) on a .283 hitting percentage

  • 41 aces

  • 176 digs

  • 22 blocks

Melanie’s 381 kills rank 4th all-time for a single season in TSD history. She is now just 237 kills away from reaching 1,000 career kills.

Ava Beese — All-District Second Team

Junior Libero Ava Beese earned All-District Second Team honors following an exceptional defensive campaign. She recorded:

  • 517 total digs (4.8 per set)

  • 51 aces

  • 62 assists

  • 88% serve-receive rating

Her 517 digs place her 3rd all-time on TSD’s single-season digs leaderboard.

Savannah Fewel — All-District Honorable Mention

Junior Middle Blocker Savannah Fewel, in her first season with TSD, made an immediate impact and was named All-District Honorable Mention. She tallied:

  • 80 kills on a .288 hitting percentage

  • 42 aces

  • 39 total blocks, leading all players in district play
