TSD wins 4th place at TAPPS State Championship

TSD wrestling had our final meet at home against San Antonio cornerstone and we tied with them 33-33. The boys wrestled their hearts out after several weeks of constraints and no practice. We are all proud of the boys for wrestling hard.

Tsd Wrestling went to the TAPPS wrestling state championship this past weekend and we are thrilled with the results. As a team we finished 4th place out of 17 schools. We had 6 boys that finished in the top 4 in the tournament. Zefan Nathanson showed his dominance at the TAPPS tournament by winning his second and back to back individual championship. Not to overlook Hawkins Morgan, Max Ponton and Shadow Tollison who each won second place. Titus Sterling after being upset in the semifinals he fought on went on to nab third place. Lastly but not least, Arturo Merchan finished fourth.

The coaches are especially proud of the boys for making the best of this season with Covid-19 issues, icy weather and multi-sport athletes. They all showed what it truly is to be a RANGER!
