Varsity girls went to their very first tournament for this season at San Antonio: Patriot Invitational. It was a big tournament with 52 teams altogether (middle school, JV and varsity). On Friday, we were put in a tough pool where we came out 0-2, then on Saturday we came out 1-1.
The coaches all agreed that even though we won the consolation championship that weekend, the real reward is that the girls were able to gather experience under their belt making them a better basketball player on the court. We saw some improvement, and some areas that we would need to continue to work on. We would like to congratulate Evangeline Diaz for making the all star team and Emmanuella Bacak for the sportsmanship award.
