John Taylor

John Taylor has been the Athletic Equipment Manager for Athletic Department since 2014.  He coordinates all equipment for various sports each season for Elem./Middle, High School and SOTX.  

He was born and raised in Illinois and attended Illinois School for the Deaf (ISD) at the age of 8 years old and graduated in 1989.  He was involved with football, basketball, track, soccer and wrestling at ISD. On the team for 4 years, Wrestling was his favorite sport. He was Regional Champion and qualified in 1A Sectional in Illinois. He graduated with a personal record of 31-3 and team record with 22-2-1(school record) as well as receiving recognition as National Champion in 1989. 

John attended NTID/RIT and graduated with a degree in Manufacturing Process AOS in 1993. He worked as a CNC/Operator for Lathe & Mill Department in Rochester, NY and in Chicago, IL for 15 years combined.  

He is married to Lori since 1999 who also works at TSD. He enjoys spending time with his wife and two children, Dalton and Jayne.
